The end of an Era is definitely on the horizon, but is it here? Chipper Jones has fallen prey to the injury bug once again this season, and his latest knee injury could be the end of all! The unquestioned best third basemen of my time and arguably ever will take some time to have surgery and start the rehab process before making a knee jerk decision on the rest of his career! After a slow start because of a knee injury from last season, Chipper had started to come around. Hopefully this latest one will not be the end of all. It would be nice to see him play one more healthy season before he hangs it up, but the end of an Era is definitely on the horizon.....
For the first time in 13 yrs Tiger Woods is not the favorite in a Golf Tournament that he is playing in. WoW....That's what you call DOMINATE! The craziest thing I've heard all week is Colin Cowheard would bet against Tiger 40 to 1 odds that he wouldn't win, and Sorry to say but thats just asinine! I'd pay out $25 all day for the chance to win $1000, and when the bet is on Tiger to win, you'd be a fool not to! Not only did he bet agaist Tiger, he compared Tiger to the Detroit Lions! Cmon Colin, that's like comparing apples to lemons. Just because they're fruit, don't mean they are all the same. Tiger was at the Top of his sport for quit sometime, not sure the Lions have ever been there before. He's at a point in life where he has just lost some confidence and part of it is losing control of all the things that gave him that confidence. He needs to get back to living his life for Tiger and not everyone else, and he'll be fine! I don't care what he did before, but he needs to get back to it. In a few months, we'll be reading headlines on HOW TIGER GOT HIS GROOVE BACK.......

R.I.P SHON COOKE
Through all the jibber jabber and overendulging convoy over LBJ6 and D-Wade, a couple of small but huge things seem to have slipped some minds. For starters, why are Joe Johnson and Chris Bosh even asking for max money? You say you want to win, but yet you want a team to over pay you and lose the ability to put anyone else worth a damn around you, and you can't carry a team by yourself!! Neither one of you! You averaged 12pts in the playoffs last year Joe! Sorry, but you're not worth 119 MILLIE over 6yrs. As for you Chris, have you ever even been involved in a playoff game? MAX PLAYERS carry their teams to the playoffs BY THEMSELVES!!
NEXT! These are the best players in the world, and everyone keeps talking about them joining forces like the Fantastic Four or something! Being that they are the best in the world, I don't care if they're best friends or not LBJ6 and D-WADE will not be on the same team outside of ALL STAR GAMES and the OLYMPIC'S. But Bosh and Wade or LBJ6 and Bosh is a different story. These guys had a meetings and they talked about how to better themselves for sure, but they also talked about how to helped the league as well! While I love the sound of LBJ6/AMARE/MELLO in NY in a couple of years, I don't see it happening either. Because the sound of LBJ6/Bosh in Cleveland battling D-Wade/Rose/Noah in Chicago sounds better. Two hometown guys leading their hometeams and giving the league a hugh lift. And you still got the Big Four in Boston and possible AMARE/MELLO/ in NY after next season. The East would be back in tact. If Cleveland was smart, they would add T-Mac while everyone is sleeping!! But if my theory is wrong, LBJ6 AND D-WADE in Chicago would be the second coming of DA BULLS, but I just can't see LBJ6 going to Wade for help to win a title. But yet we dog Bret Favre and MJ about hurting their legacy! C'MON MAN!!!!
Just remember these guys want to win, but it means nothing to beat a team of nobody's! They can't all be on the same team! And no Championship will ever mean as much to LBJ6 if he not only wins it in Cleveland, but shares it with them as well!! Wade got Miami a Trophy, now it's time to go home! And while I KNOW you ain't worth the money Joe, just like Pac said, 'I Ain't Mad At Ya...Got Nothing But Love For Ya Boy...Do Ya Thang'.

LAST MINUTE DOUSHEBAG'S
For most of my adult life I've been a restaurant manager. I have managed deli's, bakery's and a pizza joint. One thing I could never understand is, why do folks love to pile into any restaurant within the last hour or last thirty minutes that they're open!!!! The funny thing is these are usually the same folks who are scared to death that someone inside is going to spit in their food. Well, I WONDER WHY? I know some smart ass who has never worked in a restaurant is saying, 'you're still open'....well yes, but that last hour is usually used for cleanup purposes, not to run around like a chicken with his head cut off just to make your special order. The folks who wait till the last minute are the ones who want to change all the toppings, or ask dumb questions. FYI- when all the lights are out, that normally means the place is closed for business! I NEVER go to place to eat within an hour of closing time, I just see it as a sign of respect to others on their job! I'm sure you wouldn't want me to show up at your desk with work for you, an hour before your shift is done. Just something to think about on your next late nite dinner outing. And NO, I have never spit in someone else's food. KARMA IS MUTHA........!

Championship Week
As the NBA Finals came to a close this week, sports reporters questioned is 'Kobe now better than Michael?' My question is simply WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU EVEN ASK THAT? Its not even a conversation starter, but yet it's been the dominate question now and throughout the Finals. Sure Kobe has a sweeter touch from the three point line, sure he has superior handles over MJ, but 'NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND!' Michael not only played in an era where the game was tougher, but the rules were cater to big men. He was never on a team with three future hall of famers at once, and more importantly he never walked off the big stage a loser!! Had it not been for his thirst for challenges, and an egotistical/cheap owner MJ and the Bulls could have easily won 10 rings. I have no problem saying the guy is hands down the second best shooting guard that ever graced the planet earth, but some people are trying to put this guy on a planet that is only inhibited by one.
Speaking of other Planets...that one you see to the far left is Planet Tiger. We'll he ever be able to right the ship. Many questions abound this past week on rather Phil was ready to take over the number one ranking! Really not sure what that means if he does. Can remember the Great Georgia Tech Alumni David Duval Holding and battling El Tigre for that spot for some years as well, and we all know how NUTS he had to be to think that would last. Has anyone heard from VJ since he held that spot for a year? NO, I didn't think so. I mean it doesn't really matter who holds that spot. We all know who the people are paying to see, and we all know why! Plus golf is all about the winnings and top dollar amounts on the year if you ask me. Even in the years that he didn't finish number 1, El Tigre was always at the top of that chart. Buddha knows he's gonna be needing that cash with the alimony and child support my dude is gonna have to shell out at the end of his personal issues. I'm talking P-DIDDY CHILD SUPPORT. Hopefully he can get that straight as well as his game. As for Phil... at least he's not crazy and he's still relevant, but he'll have to settle for number two for now. Even though Tiger is not playing his best golf, he and Phil finished tied for 4th in the US Open. EL TIGRE lives to see another week as the number 1 golfer in the world. Funny thing is now he's only ranked 113th on the 2010 money chart. Which list do you think he'd rather be at the top of? Hmmmmm!
The World Cup finish out it's second week of games, and my soccer interest is up! I'm definitely trying to find me a VUVUZELLA, but not sure if South Africa is where I want to go to get it. But I'm wondering how can we market the European Club Teams and Leagues to get Americans to watch? I've been to many of houses the past two weeks that have been blaring soccer games throughout the house. I truly believe that if there were more American born players on European teams, and a better marketing strategy by there league, that the interest here would elevate. There's already a knowledge of the Euro players, so there is no reason why there football can't be as global as our football. As for the games in the cup...I gotta say that I have lost all respect for Lionel Messi. Your the so called best player in the world and you're complaining about the Vuvuzella's....'C'MON MAN' are you serious? Have you ever heard of the Cameron Crazies? PHILLY FANS of any sport? You would do better 'Blaming It On The Rain'.
That's all the knowledge I can leak for now. You'll have to tune in to the next episode of The LuckDawg and Rhino Show for more of my thoughts...please save your pennies...this ones on me!!
